She began her career as an educator and school administrator. She has carried her love of teaching into the Learning and Development space with a strong focus on Leadership Development. Melissa transitioned into corporate HR, primarily in the tech industry, for 20 years before launching Silk Mountain. She makes it simple for startup CEOs and small business owners to define and design their ideal cultures so that they can attract, engage, and retain top talent. Melissa holds a BS in Education from Texas Tech University and an MEd in Educational Leadership, which ignited her passion for developing leaders.
